Sergio Esposito is a distinguished public servant in Yorktown, currently serving as Town Councilman and Deputy Supervisor. In addition to his leadership roles in local government, he is a dedicated first responder, serving as a Volunteer Deputy Sheriff with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. 

Councilman Esposito is proud to call Yorktown home and has lived here for over 30 years.  Esposito raised his three children here; he has grown his business here and has contributed to the well-being of the community.  When Councilman Esposito was first elected, he vowed to streamline government as well as expand the commercial tax base and improve on our government’s digital infrastructure.  Councilman Esposito also vowed to work toward revitalizing blighted properties and turning the blight to bright as well as filling vacancies.  All goals that have been realized due to his stewardship. 

During his first term Councilman Esposito has proven himself as the heartbeat of our community, he has established himself as Yorktown’s “Small Business Advocate” assisting entrepreneurs in our business community with navigating the complexities of government to the benefit of taxpayers and consumers alike.  Esposito has always voted to cut town taxes.  Councilman Esposito has been a champion of the youth in Yorktown supporting and promoting an array of initiatives both in our community and in our school districts.

Councilman Esposito has consistently prioritized the protection and service of Yorktown taxpayers. His comprehensive knowledge of municipal law and his deep understanding of the town’s unique needs have set him apart as a committed and effective leader. A man of his word, his integrity, honesty, and energy have been unwavering.

Esposito embodies a hands-on approach to public service. His caring demeanor and genuine concern for every community member enable him to connect with individuals across Yorktown, addressing their needs with both compassion and effectiveness. He is a staunch supporter of local youth, an advocate for the elderly, a vigorous champion for our business districts and, a defender of all residents.

Previously, Esposito served as President of the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce. During his tenure, his in-depth knowledge of the local business community and his commitment to the people of Yorktown proved invaluable. An immigrant from Italy, he also runs his own specialty information technology business, further strengthening his ties to the community. His involvement extends beyond business— he was the secretary of the Town’s Ethics Committee, and a respected member of the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Among his proudest contributions is his partnership with Camp Sunshine, which has raised funds to support families with children facing life-threatening illnesses by providing critical help and counseling.

“I love this town, and I want to build on the accomplishments of my first term to do even more,” Esposito said. “I raised my family here, grew my business here, and want nothing more than to foster an environment where families and businesses can experience the same successes I have had. From his community service experience, he also understands how important it is to integrate the service community with both the business community and the local government.
